Mauna Loa Helicopters offers private aerial tours of Kauai in their Robinson 44 Helicopters. These choppers are smaller and can seat 2 or 3 passengers per tour. This means every seat is by a window and you'll be treated to most unobstructed views of any flightseeing tour in Kauai. An addition, each passenger than choose whether to fly with their door on or door off. We recommend off for the most exciting experience and for photography. Tour options include a 55 minute or 75 minute. The flight route is the same. The extra time is used to get up close to an additional 6 waterfalls and enter more of Kauai's narrow valleys. The upgrade is worth it.
Check in at the heli office. You'll review a safety video and get weighted discreetly. After check in, you'll be guided to helicopter pad where your adventure of a lifetime awaits. The aerial tour of Kauai will include visits at Jurassic Park Falls, Waimea Canyon, Na Pali, Hanalei Town & Valley and Wai'ale'ale Crater (weather permitting) Noise cancellation head phones are included. Radio communication with the pilot is also available.
Mauna Loa office is located next to Harbor Mall near our activity center. Look for the R.V. across a small stream. To get here, follow the roads into Lihue until you reach Rice St. Make the turn toward Kalapaki Beach and look for Harbor Mall on the side of the road opposite the ocean.
