Kauai offers three zipline courses: Koloa Zipline, Kauai Backcountry Adventures and Outfitters Kauai at Kīpū Ranch. Our tours range from a single 4,000-foot FlyLine ride to a full day of kayaking, hiking and ziplining. Our guides handle all zipline braking—no hand braking is required. South Shore
Koloa Zipline
8 lines · About 3½ hours · Ages 7+
Start with Ground School, then cross eight lines overlooking the South Shore and Waita Reservoir. Snacks and drinks are included in our Koloa adventure.
We offer tandem riding for lighter guests when needed, with a maximum combined weight of 250 pounds. The headfirst “Flyin’ Kauaiian” position has been retired.
Wear sturdy closed-toe shoes and longer shorts or pants. This activity is not suitable during pregnancy, within three months of surgery, or with back, neck, or knee injuries. Heart conditions and severe allergies are also a concern; call before booking if unsure.

Kauai Backcountry Adventures
Backcountry Zipline

A 4WD ride into the backcountry leads to seven rainforest ziplines, followed by lunch and an optional mountain swim.
Riders must be ages 12+ and weigh 100–250 pounds. Expect hiking, an eight-rung ladder, and firm landings. This tour is not suitable with serious medical conditions or recent back, hip, or knee surgery. Pregnant guests must call before booking to confirm the current participation policy.
Wear covered, closed-toe shoes and knee-length shorts or pants. Bring swimwear and a towel if you plan to swim. Helmets, lunch, and water are included.

Kayak, hike & zip
Kīpū Safari
4 lines total · 6½ hours · Ages 5+*
Paddle the Huleʻia River before hiking, swimming, and ziplining through Kīpū Ranch. Our safari includes lunch and a motorized canoe ride back.
*Ages 5+ may join the safari; ziplining requires ages 7+, a minimum height of 4 feet, and 60–275 pounds. Younger guests can enjoy the other activities. The kayak weight limit is 275 pounds per guest.
Expect about a mile of walking over uneven terrain. Minors need an accompanying adult. Bring swimwear and footwear suited to mud and water.
