Three Kipu Ranch trail systems lead to a private waterfall on our Waterfall Triple Trail Expedition, with a short walk and optional swimming when conditions allow.
Route: Three ranch trail systems with an optional short walk and weather-dependent waterfall swim. Kipu Kai overlook is on the Ultimate Ranch Tour.

Orchards, fern valleys and plantation roads lead to Kilohana Crater’s rim on our guided UTV expedition. Departures are 9 AM and 1 PM, Monday–Saturday.
Kilohana Crater trails reopen November 2, 2026. Call us to reserve a date.
Departures: 9 AM and 1 PM, Monday–Saturday. Minimum passenger age: 7. Arrive 30 minutes before departure. Call us to confirm availability and seating. Wear clothes that can get muddy and closed-toe shoes.
Your ride: Our Kawasaki Mule PRO-FXT 1000 has a roof, roll cage and seat belts, with seating for up to six depending on the arrangement. We begin with vehicle instruction and guide you along the trails.
Meet us: Kilohana Plantation, 3-2087 Kaumualii Highway, Lihue. Look for the Crater Expeditions sign before the main house and the green building with a red roof in the back parking area. Confirm check-in directions when you call.

Kawasaki Teryx4
We ride with power steering, supportive full-back seats and suspension built for off-road terrain. The Teryx4 is available on our Ultimate Ranch Tour and Waterfall Triple Trail Expedition.
Up to two qualified drivers can take turns at designated stops.
We give larger groups room to ride together with bench seating, power steering, seat belts, latch doors and a roll bar. At Kipu Ranch, this vehicle is available on the waterfall tour only.

We explore Kilohana in a side-by-side with a roof, roll cage and seat belts. Seating depends on your group’s arrangement; we’ll confirm the vehicle and passenger requirements when you call.

How do I book?

Can I drive, or ride as a passenger?
You can do either. Drivers must be at least 18 and bring a valid physical driver’s license. We provide instructions before the ride.
Can children join?
Kipu welcomes guests ages 9 and older. Kilohana welcomes passengers ages 7 and older. Children must ride with an adult; confirm your group’s eligibility before booking.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting muddy. Bring water, sun protection and your physical license if driving. A change of clothes is useful after the ride.
What’s the difference between the Ultimate Ranch Tour and the Waterfall Tour?
The routes are similar. The Ultimate Ranch Tour includes the Kipu Kai overlook, a view exclusive to that tour. The Waterfall Triple Trail Expedition includes a short walk to a waterfall and time to swim when conditions allow. Bring swimwear and a towel for the waterfall tour.
