From Kilohana Plantation to the crater rim
Fruit orchards, pasture and fern-filled valleys lead into Kilohana’s private backcountry. Our guides share the land’s plantation and ranching history, including a stop on the grounds of Iliahi Estate.
The route climbs to the crater rim for panoramic views, then returns toward Kilohana Plantation with mountain and coastal scenery along the way.
- Check in, complete the waiver and learn the UTV controls.
- Ride with our guide through plantation roads and forest trails.
- Pause at scenic stops, explore the crater rim and return to Kilohana.
Departure times & duration
Tours depart at 9 AM and 1 PM, Monday–Saturday. Allow about three hours for the experience, including check-in and instruction, with roughly 2.5 hours of riding. Call us to confirm your date and group’s seats.
Kawasaki Mule & included gear
Our Kawasaki Mule PRO-FXT 1000 seats up to six, depending on the group arrangement. A guide leads the ride; qualified guests drive or ride as passengers. Helmets, goggles, a neck gaiter, snacks and drinks are included.
Ages, driving & preparation
- Minimum passenger age: 7. Children ride with an adult.
- Drivers must be 18 or older and bring a valid physical, full driver’s license. Learner’s permits and digital copies are not accepted.
- Pregnant guests and those with heart conditions, spinal issues or recent surgery cannot participate. Serious neck, back or knee problems are not recommended. The tour is not wheelchair accessible.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, a reusable water bottle, dark clothes that can get muddy, and a protected phone or camera. Drivers also need their physical license and a credit card for the vehicle.
