From the river to the grotto

Travel two miles upstream, then take a short walk through the rainforest to the fern-covered grotto. The round trip lasts about 1 hour 20 minutes.

Park entry & parking

State park fees are separate: $5 per person, with children 3 and under free, plus $10 per vehicle for parking. Hawaii residents with valid ID are exempt. Payment is by card.

Wailua Marina State Park

The marina is on the south side of the Wailua River bridge off Highway 56. Follow the driveway to the parking area. Call us to confirm your departure and arrival time.
